    Hello,

Is it possible to change the behavior of (related by category) to (related by sub-category | or related by the product’s category)?

    For example, we have par-cat A -> sub-cat B -> sub-cat C -> [p1, p2, p3, …, etc]I need the related products of the product p1 to be those in the sub-cat C: p2, p3, …, etc. and not the products from sub-cat B, or from the par-cat A.

      Hi Aissam,

Unfortunately relating by subcategories this way is not supported yet but we have added it to our todo list.

    Hello.
Related product are always shown in random mode. No matter if I change sorting options (Date, ID, Title).
Editing number of products and rows do affect instead.
I have no cache plugin installed….

    Hi,

We are trying to set the number of related products to 4 on one row of 3 columns but no matter what we do the products are on 2 rows.

      Hi,

If you are using any caching plugins, please try clearing the cache. I would also recommend trying to temporarily switch the theme to the default theme to see if it works with it – maybe your current theme does not support this arrangement of products.

Hi, I’m using the free version and want to not show related products for a single category, so I checked the box for “Hide related products,” then added my one category in the “Include product categories” field. Doesn’t work — all products now hide related products. I’ve tried various combinations of options here, and cleared transients and cache every time I’ve made a change. All I can get to work right now is the all-or-nothing Hide checkbox — nothing below that seems to have any effect.

Am I missing something? Are those options Pro version only?

I tried to use this module to have the related products only show if they have the same attribute, but it doesn’t seem to work. I have “Relate by Product Attribute” enabled, attribute name set to what I want it to look for, but from there, I assumed it would pull the attribute from the product and then find the related products with the same attribute. For context: I sell music scores, and the attribute slug is “voice-type” so I would want every score that is attributed to “soprano” to only display other “soprano” scores in the related products section. Any tips? Is this not possible?

I cannot make the related products go away.
I have turned the RP off in Appearance/Theme Options.
I have disabled the RP module in Woocom Settings.
    They still showed up.
I then tried to re-enable the module but selected “hide RP” checked. still no luck.
I then tried to enter the products I want hidden in the hide products meta box. And they still show.
I entered 0 as the number of RP to show and 0 as the number of RP columns. And they still show.
I also enter all the categories I want hidden and still no luck.
    Please advise.
I have several products that are used as Component Products only. They have been hidden in the catalog and hidden in the shop but they still show up under related products. I would be happy at this point to have no related products to show at all.
I am using the Kadence Theme with this booster for Woocom enabled.
I also have the Woocom stacked products extension and the Woocom Components products extension as well.
Thank you so much for your help with this.

      Jeff here again,
I also tried “clear all product transients” with no luck as well.
I can increase the number of related products shown, but I cannot get them to show anything less than 3.

      Hi,

If anyone is having similar issues – as we figured out in private emails, it was actually “Jetpack by WordPress.com” plugin displaying related posts (and not WooCommerce displaying related products). So to disable this, you need to open “Jetpack > Settings > Traffic” page and deactivate “Related Posts” option there.

      Best regards,
      Tom

The “Relate Manually” does not appear to be working on my site. It adds the meta box to the products and you can select the items but nothing appears in the shop. Any ideas?

It is only on a test site at the moment.

      Hi Neil,

Yes, you are correct – the issue appeared since WooCommerce v3.0.0 update. Hopefully we’ve managed to fix it. Please download Booster’s development version here – https://booster.io/dev/. You will need to uninstall the old plugin version first (don’t worry your saved settings won’t disappear). Please let me know if it works correctly now.

      Best regards,
      Tom

Love the plugin, However my related products are not divided into the assigned number of columns. They amount of products can be varied, but inspite of trying different values for the nr of columns they remain ordered in 2 columns. please help.

Great plugin overall. Would like to see a few tweaks and bug fixes.. The following would be very helpful:
    – Related products – When relating by category, we should have the option (or default) to the “primary category”. Currently, when items fall in multiple categories, this module is basically useless. couldn’t get the related items from the primary category without showing other items from secondary categories.
    – Product Info: If there is any content (placeholder) in the content block, it appears on every product page even if no products are selected for that box.
    – Product Listing: would be great if we can specify select categories/subcategories to INCLUDE on shop page, not just ones to EXCLUDE. Also Products per Page Options should take out any items that are excluded in some countries.. right now, It looks like it’s counting them in the total items displayed on a page even if they are not visible.. so it would say showing 16 items when only 14 were visible.

Otherwise this is among the best WC plugins and best bang for the buck! Thanks!

I completely agree with the above comment in terms of the Related Products. Can we not have an option to show “Primary Category”. I’m going through every product in my list (50+) to set the primary hoping it will fix the problem, but it doesn’t seem to be doing so at the moment.

      Dear Eduard,

We are very sorry about the delay.
We have new dev version, you can try it, you need to download it at : http://booster.io/dev/. You`ll need to reinstall plugin Booster for WooCommerce. We made some changes in http://booster.io/features/prices-and-currencies-by-customers-country/ module, now you can override country on checkout with billing country.

Please reply with feedback is that module is solving the problem.
