Tips & Tricks

Exporting Order Profit and Cost

If you need to export order profit and cost (calculated with Booster’s “Cost of Goods” module), please follow these steps:

  1. Go to “WooCommerce > Settings > Booster > Emails & Misc. > Export”.
  2. In “Export Orders Options” section, set Additional Export Orders Fields to and click “Save changes”.
  3. Now for “Field #1” set:
    • EnabledYes
    • TitleProfit
    • TypeOrder Shortcode
    • Value
  4. For “Field #2” set:
    • EnabledYes
    • TitleCost
    • TypeOrder Shortcode
    • Value

Now if you open the “Export Orders” tool (in “Booster Tools > Export Orders”), you will be able to export it to CSV and/or XML.

Exporting Link to Order PDF Invoices

If you need to export order PDF documents (e.g. PDF invoices and packing slips) (generated with Booster’s “PDF Invoicing and Packing Slips” module), please follow these steps:

  1. Go to “WooCommerce > Settings > Booster > Emails & Misc. > Export”.
  2. In “Export Orders Options” section, set Additional Export Orders Fields to and click “Save changes”.
  3. Now for “Field #1” set:
    • EnabledYes
    • TitleInvoice
    • TypeOrder Shortcode
    • Value:
      http://localhost/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=shop_order&invoice_type_id=invoice&order_id=&get_invoice=1

      * you need to replace http://localhost/ with your server

  4. For “Field #2” set:
    • EnabledYes
    • TitlePacking slip
    • TypeOrder Shortcode
    • Value:
      http://localhost/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=shop_order&invoice_type_id=packing_slip&order_id=&get_invoice=1

      * you need to replace http://localhost/ with your server

Now if you open the “Export Orders” tool (in “Booster Tools > Export Orders”), you will be able to export it to CSV and/or XML. Please note that even if PDF document was not created for the order, the link will still be produced. Also please note that by default, links to PDF documents will be only accessible to users with administrator or shop manager user role. You can modify that with “Allowed User Roles” option in “WooCommerce > Settings > Booster > PDF Invoicing & Packing Slips > Display & Misc.”.

Accessible through:

  • WooCommerce > Settings > Booster > Emails & Misc. > Export

Tested on WooCommerce 4.0.0 and WordPress 5.3.2Plugin can be downloaded here. If there are any locked fields in the module, you will need to get Booster Plus to unlock them.

    This is the BEST Plugin!!
Is it possible to change (re-order) the Export Orders Items Fields columns?
I want to move a column that is in the middle of the report to the last position on the right.
    Thanks!

Hi, I’m using the multivendor marketplace plugin by WCLovers because I’m dealing with multiple sellers.
Therefore, I would like to add a custom field to display the store vendors on the orders export (in my case, one order can as multiple stores involved as it can have multiple products involved) but I cannot find the meta or shortcode related to the store name like it is displayed on the WooCommerce > Orders table.

Could you please provide the meta or shortcode I need to add to be able to display the different sellers involved in each order placed?

    Many thanks in advance!

      Hi Paulette,

Unfortunately there aren’t any shortcodes for vendors configured by this other plugin but I would suggest to try and enable “Show Order Meta” option in “Admin Tools” module settings and see if this data shows up in order edit page.

      Best regards,

      Hi RokasJ,

Thank you for your answer. I have activated the Admin Tools module and enabled “Show Order Meta” and on the Edit Order page, under Order Items Meta, I now have a table with an “Item Meta Key” column on which I have _vendor_id several times (for every vendor involved in the order) but when I copy and paste this meta key to the Export Module Options > Additional Export Orders Fields > Order Meta, nothing appears on the new column of the Export Orders tab.

But given that the info I wish to display is already showing on WooCommerce > Orders table, is there another way I can either export this Orders table in Excel (right now I just have bulk actions buttons, but nothing to export the data) or display this specific column on the Export module?

      Thanks

Is there any way to get the product sku added to the Export Order Items export? I tried adding product short code _wcj_product_sku as an additional field but that doesn’t work. Order exports are useless without the sku so I feel like I am missing something obvious?

FWIW I also tried that short code with the other options like product meta, order meta and order item meta.

      Hi Brian,

Please try adding this to “Export Order Items Options”:
      Field #1: Enabled
      Title: SKU
      Type: Product Shortcode
      Value: .

I have double checked and this should be working.

Hi, I have set up the Profit and Cost fields to export as “additional export order fields” using shortcodes (as in your set up guide).
The EXCEL file displays the table correctly but the values of profit and cost are not displayed correctly:
There also lots of other information in the same cell …eg …£39.68

Please advise how to fix, many thanks.

    Dear Booster Team,

The Export Tools are only useful for me if there is also an “Import Tools”, to import all the exported data. But I can’t seem to find the module that is doing this… please help!

Hi! Purchased the upgrade and it’s very helpful.
For order exports, is it possible to export the shipping country field as the full name rather than 2-letter abbreviation?

    Hi,
I have purchased Booster plus and need to be able to export Order Items Post Meta. It looks like this should be possible but my values are not working.
I have a plugin which adds Order Item Post Meta to the order for a Pickup Location. I have added an Additional Export Orders Items Field and given it the Type ‘Order Item Meta’ and a Value of ‘_pickup_location_name’ which I got from orders using Store Toolkit. It exports a Column with the name I gave it but no values. Can you help?
    Thanks

      Hi Kevin,

Can you check if the value really exsists? By that I mean try exporting your products directly from Produts page (by clicking export) with “Export custom meta?” option enabled. This will show all post meta with keys on the first row.

      Best regards,

    Hi there,

Im wondering if it’s possible to arrange the order of the columns of the csv that is exported? Obviously this is an easy task that can be done in Excel but I’m trying to automate and reduce manual tasks. Is this controllable?

Perhaps by arranging the fields in the desired list in the export settings?

    Thanks,

    Michael

    Hello,

Is there a way to export the order items (or orders or products,…) not by order date but by a date set on a custom checkout field?

I’m building a site for a bakery that only does delivery around the area so the main element is the “Delivery Date” set by the customer on checkout (custom field added by booster plus). I would like to have the report of all product ordered at a specific “Delivery date”

I’m using Booster plus Version 3.5.2

    Thanks

Can you document how to use the product the “items products input fields” have used _wcj_product_input_fields_local_1 but with no success.

    Hi Tom

In the “Export Order Items Options”, the “Item Meta” option (https://snag.gy/slHauP.jpg) throws the data across several columns, which then throws out the order of the following columns.

The solution would be to add it last in the list. I guess I could do this by unchecking it form the default options and adding it as a custom field. But what do I use for “Type” (Order Meta?) and what do I use for “Value”?

I’ve tried everything and scoured your site, but I cannot work out what generates the Item Meta data.

    Hi

Can you add a custom export field to the orders? It appears you can only add one to the products? https://snag.gy/4DJu6f.jpg

Is there a way to add custom fields to the orders, too?

Sure, no problem. Please download the development version here – http://booster.io/dev/. You will need to uninstall the old version first (don’t worry your saved settings won’t disappear). And please let me know if it works as expected.

P.S. If you like Booster, please leave us a rating

Can you confirm that I must delete the Booster plugin or the Booster Plus plugin (or both) before installing the development version (entitled Woocommerce-Jetpack-Master ).

For example, a clic on “Download CSV” button (“Export Orders tab selected”) makes a html file without orders data.
